? Supports the Newton facility and Corporate functions for all matters relating to Health and Safety.
? Develops programs for accident prevention and awareness.
? Guides and promotes safe work performance by developing safety systems, policies and procedures; developing safety campaign, communications, and recognitions; training managers and employees.
? Complies with federal, state and local safety regulations by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; interpreting standards; enforcing adherence to regulations; advising management on needed actions.
? Enforces safety policies by conducting inspections, determining root cause and required corrective actions; reporting statistics; counseling managers and employees.
? Promotes a safe environment by serving as liaison for coordinating and cooperating with local, state and regional safety groups and agencies.
? Ensures OHSAS18001 system conformance and assists with ISO 14001 system conformance.
? Responsible for recording and tracking workers? compensation injuries and OSHA reporting requirements.
? Maintains safety KPI?s / HR Metrics.
? Compiles mid-year and annual reports and reports to top management for review.
? Identifies and anticipates H&S concerns and hazards by surveying occupational conditions; rendering opinions on new equipment and procedures; investigating violations; recommending preventive programs.
? Represents the organization by collecting data; presenting information at hearings; coordinating with claims adjusters on workers? compensation related matters.
? Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
? Coordinates activities of safety committee.
? Assists Quality Systems Coordinator with environmental issues and completion of annual environmental report.
? Assists with security of the ZF Newton facility.
? Assists with MSDS/SDS sheets; developing and maintaining management information systems which identify the location of hazardous materials in all facilities; Disseminating Right-to-Know information and ensuring compliance with program.
? Coordinates fork truck and panel truck safety program training and maintains fork truck licenses. Ensures program adheres to state and federal requirements.
? Responsible for attending the annual EH&S meeting.
? Maintain open door communication and promote an issue free work place.
? Assist Training Coordinator with scheduling of internal and external safety and compliance training.
? Support SFM (Shop Floor Management)
? Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
? Other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor or department manager
? Understand and comply with ZFPS, TS16949, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, and OSHA requirements and all state and local applicable laws
? Actively participate in Safety Activities and Investigations
? Actively participate in meetings and training courses
? Use PPE as required in specific work areas
? Ability to train other associates in assigned work areas
? Ability to communicate with associates, supervisors, technicians and managers
? Basic computer skills
? Complete required documentation and forms
? May be required to work modified schedule to support customer requirements (ie: overtime, vacation coverage, off-shifts, 8 and/or 12 hour schedules, holidays, etc.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
