Occupational Health Nurse

Responsibilities

  • Case management of STD/LTD and workers compensation cases
  • Facilitate employee injury/illness process, including ERT
  • Track and manage FMLA approvals/denials based on medical information and company/legal protocol
  • Hearing Conservation Program
  • Monthly Safety Reporting
  • STARS/OSHA Log incident program
  • Lead and/or participate in plant projects/teams. For example, 24/7, Medical Emergency Response Team (ERT), Blood borne Pathogen, flu shots, ergonomics, or others as assigned.

Education & Experience: RN or COHN

Required Skills:

  • Good administrative skills and able to multi-task
  • Understanding how to prevent and manage occupation injuries
  • People skills, able to interact and influence others
  • Self-directed and motivated

Desired Skills:

  • PC proficient with excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Creative in promoting health and safety activities
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with processes related to workers compensation, disability & FMLA

Soft Skills:

  • Team player
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to network

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
